Tarot Cards Readings Free Course - Steps to do Tarot Cards Reading
|
When doing Tarot cards reading for yourself or other people simply perform these steps:
1- Centring and psychic protection:
Hold the cards, the back of them facing you. Take few deep breaths to centre yourself. At this stage you can do simple psychic protection. Psychic protection is the concept of protecting yourself from the energy of other people and other spirits. In my opinion, if you want to open yourself to the spiritual practices and the spirts, you shouldn't over do the psychic protection. I personally do protection from only the harmful energies that most probably caused by intentional attacks. Having said that it is good to do simple psychic protection as a beginner, then decide through out your journey if you want stronger protection. One of my preferred way to do psychic protection is to imagine a brilliant white light that begins as a tiny star above you. Imagine, if you will, that above you is nothing but darkness. One star appears in this darkness, a brilliant light. You then imagine this light extending into a beam that passes through the crown of your head, through your body, where it spreads out as a white disc on the floor. This is not a ring, but a disc of light. |
2- Clean the cards energetically. This means cleansing the Tarot cards from the energy of any previous readings. Three knock on the cards with the intention that that cards is cleansed is more that enough to do that.
3- Shuffle the cards. while shuffling ask the spirit world to help you with the reading. If you are doing reading for another person, hand the cards to them and ask them to shuffle the cards. Ask them to think of what they want to know while shuffling the cards. If you are doing reading for yourself, shuffle the cards while thinking of what you want to know.
Some times we stop while shuffling and split the cards into two halves (or three ) then we rotate one of the halves 180 degrees, put the two halves together and shuffle again. That is only to make sure that the cards are shuffled properly.

4- Pull the cards: Continue shuffling but this time take the cards that get your attention and lay them down in from of you in a "Tarot spread" of your choice.
You can also spread the cards facing down on a fan shape on the table then pull the cards that get your attention.

Tarot cards spreads
The layout of the Tarot cards for a reading is called "Tarot spread". There are many spreads, we will learn some here, but for now we will focus on two spreads:
One card spread: you will take only one card. The one card is usually an answer for a question. You can use also the one card for the sake of studying; ask the deck what insight you are giving me for my day.
Three cards spread: here you will take three cards and place them horizontally in front of you. The card in the middle represent the present, the card on the left represent the past, while the card o the right represent the future.

Reversed Tarot cardsWhen you select the cards, some cards will appear upside down. We interpret them as the opposite meaning of the card. Some readers decide to turn then upright and read the original meaning. Still you need to be aware of the reversal card meaning to read professionally especially when these cards appear in a spreads that show you that there is a blockage.

Journaling
At this stage I recommend you follow the above steps and pull one cards daily, asking for reflection about the day. Try to analyse the cards and guess the meaning. Write it down, one sentence in enough. Then at the end of day write down if anything happen in your day that match the card.
